Harry

Harry has always been a friendly fellow! His donor Kathy Martin had a small private boarding facility for years and Harry lived with his big horse friends. When Kathy closed the boarding facility, she felt bad that Harry would be alone and unhappy. When we met Harry, we knew he would be perfect! Kathy donated him to Take Heart in May 2021. Harry lives with the minis Raphie and Reu, and while it took a while, he found his place in the herd and is not afraid to assert himself when the younger minis get too playful. Harry is now quite fond of his “little brothers” and will bray when they are separated.

Harry is gentle and sweet and will rest his head on your lap if you sit in his pen and offer scratchies. He is a little shy at first and requires a slow, gentle approach. He is not fond of large crowds and will become skittish when nervous, but never dangerous. He is very hard to catch if he escapes… we found this out once when it took three of us 30 minutes to catch him! Harry does wonderfully with children and adults and loves connection work. Harry’s word from God is “slow down and rest.”
