Peaches
Haflinger
Registered or Full Name: Michelob Jacoby Jake, but we call him “Mr. Peaches”

Born in: 2008
Height: 13.2
Weight: ~1,100 lbs
Peaches was purchased as a two-year old by his donor Debbie Emerson from New Hampshire. She named him Peaches because he is sweet, round, and fuzzy! Peaches was well loved and cared for along with his other horse buddies, including Gem. Debbie ran a small similar ministry in northern New Hampshire but struggled to manage with her own health and decided to close the doors and donate her last two horses to another similar ministry (in the Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch similar ministry network). Take Heart was actually the closest similar ministry, and after speaking over the phone, Debbie and Meagan knew it was God’s plan for Gem and Peaches to come to Pennsylvania. Grant and Meagan took a whirlwind of a road trip to trailer Gem & Peaches home. Debbie was more than generous and donated everything she had for her ministry to Take Heart – entrusting her dream to Take Heart.
Peaches is the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet and wants to befriend everyone. He is willing to cooperate with anything asked and was the easiest horse to teach to ride that Meagan has ever worked with! Peaches is very safe for clients who may be unsure about horses. He wants to connect and looks for it whether on the ground or riding. Peaches is great with children too, but he may take advantage of smaller or less confident riders or leaders and try to go after grass! He also has a gorgeous thick mane and tail that just beg to be braided. Peaches’ word from God is “the JOY of the Lord is my strength.”
